Hi~My name is Mrs. Stonis~ I have been a Self-contained 5th Grade teacher at WDMS for 15 years. I have 2 sons who attended West Deptford schools. I love traveling and cruising with my family is my favorite. I also love the PHILLIES, and even though it doesn't look like we will be going to the World Series, we will still be cheering them on!!!

This is the eighth year that we will be using technology throughout our entire curriculum. We will all have our own Laptops and this is how we will communicate between each other and also with your parents. The last seven years have been very exciting for the students. I hope you are looking forward to this new experience.

Although we are used to measuring things in inches, feet, yards, and miles, most of the world - and all scientists in the world - use metric units. For the purposes of all labs in our study of space science, we, too, will be using metric units.

1,000 meters (m) = 1 kilometer (km)

1 meter (m) = 100 centimeters (cm)

10 millimeters (mm) = 1 centimeter (cm)
